Job Purpose

You will be part of the AML compliance advisory team and focusing on providing support, interact and advises the business units, in particular the High Net-Worth (“HNW’) clients segment.  


Support the AML/CFT compliance initiatives for all GE Entities within the Group.


The Job


  • Be well verse with Great Eastern’s Group Customer Acceptance Standard and Group Customer Dud Diligence;
  • Act as the primary liaison person with business units in providing sound and timely AML related advices, in particular the AML KYC/CDD compliance requirements for the on boarding of complex structures and high net-worth clients. This would include effectively address any AML compliance issues raise by the business units;
  • Analyse the new business proposals received from business units and ensure all AML KYC/CDD related information and documents are completed prior to business acceptance. This would include identification of specific risk affecting the HNW customers, such as regulatory and reputational risk.  Communicate these specific requirements / risks to business units in a timely manner and propose the required control measures to manage/mitigate the risk of money laundering and terrorist financing;
  • Prepare preliminary KYC/CDD fact find and assess the business acceptance for the HNW customers. Advise the business units on the outcome of the assessment accordingly;
  • Coordinate with relevant business units (such as Group Ops, AOC) to ensure the accepted cases are cleared promptly in the AMLS screening system;
  • Conduct AML compliance trainings (KYC/CDD requirements for on-boarding of complex / HNW customer) when required;
  • Maintain AML compliance advisory register for complex / HNW customers; and
  • To carry out ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Head of Group Compliance.

Job Requirements

Our Requirements


  • Tertiary or professional qualification, preferably with certification in the area of AML/CFT;
  • Relevant professional qualification in financial services;
  • 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in the area of AML/CFT, compliance, internal audit or risk management in the financial services industries, preferably from the insurance / banking industry and has experience in on-boarding of complex / HNW client segments;
  • Well verse with AML/CFT rules and regulations, in particular CDD and KYC requirements for complex structures and HNW clients;
  • Team player and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
  • Able to handle difficult situations and adaptability to fast-pace environment;
  • Demonstrates consistent and strong work ethics;
  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving mind;
  • Resourceful and information seeker with a concern for order and quality;
  • Good interpersonal and report writing skill; and
  • Self-starter and proactive.
