Job Purpose

To increase the sales and leadership capabilities of our distribution representatives, both in agency and bancassurance channels, by designing and conducting relevant selling skills programs and product knowledge curriculum.

The Job

  1. Assist Section Head in the planning and executing roadmap and tracking of new reps training / development and to incorporate such into the relevant training program;
  2. Work closely with Regiona Agency/FA & Bancassurance team to align and execute CFE work stream projects
  3. Co-ordinate for segmented targets of the agency with the objectives to:
    • Increase their sales activities and productivity
    • Provide a structured training program in product and sales techniques
    • Encourage mentorship and supervision by their leaders
  1. Work in collaboration with other departments to organise and implement incentive camps / trips for targeted segments of the agency force;
  2. Update training materials to ensure timely, accurate and relevant content to company, business, regulatory and industry updates
  3. Lead the tracking of KPI measurable to business outcomes for CFE programs
  4. Assume the Head Coach role for targeted segment reps with the objective of increasing their sales productivity;
  5. Increase the recruitment of new reps by implementing strategies to increase the pass rate of mandatory pre-contractual examinations; and
  6. Lead the planning and execution of building a “Composite” rep, competent in Life, Health, General insurance and Unit Trusts.
  7. Conduct product and skills training for all OCBC retail sales staff.

Job Requirements

Our Requirements

a) Qualifications

  • Degree in business or finance.
  • Completion of CMFAS modules 5, 8, 8A, 9 and 9A, Health Insurance, PGI, BCP
  • Professional certifications like AFP/ AFC, Com GI would be an advantage.

b) Working Experience 

  • Preferably 3 - 6 years in the financial services industry with experience in sales /sales management /training and T&C.

c) Competencies

  • Ability to drive and motivate sales of life insurance agency distribution;
  • Good understanding of financial related products;
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Bilingual (English and Mandarin); and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
