Job Purpose

 

 

You will join a growing and developing team and is a highly motivated and dynamic professional to drive capital management initiatives within Great Eastern Group.     

   

The Job

 

  • Capital Management

    • Responsible for documenting and communicating updates on capital management-related policies and plans to all within Great Eastern Group, and assist to ensure proper implementation and compliance of these policies and plans.
    • Work with Group CFO to define methodology to allocate capital across the business lines and propose solutions to optimize return on capital.
    • Review and propose dividends for Board’s approval.
    • Maintain close interaction with parent company OCBC in areas of capital-related as well as resolution & recovery plan.
    • Stay abreast on banking and insurance regulatory capital developments.

    Performance Measurement

    • Analyze the attribution of performance, capital utilization and return on capital across business manager, balance sheet manager and investment manager.
    • Participate in annual fund transfer pricing budgeting exercise.
    • Close cooperation with different stakeholders such as Actuarial, Investment Management and Risk Management teams.
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects where relevant.

Job Requirements

Our Requirements

 

  • Degree in Accountancy, Actuarial or Finance
  • 6-10 years working experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and/or investment
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and also in group setting
  • Willingness to continuously strive towards higher standards
  • Independent, inquisitive and resourceful in thinking with strong relationship and organizational skills.
