Job Purpose

 

 

You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of Group financial and reporting activities. 

   

 The Job

 

  • Perform and oversee Group closing and reporting activities, including statutory, Head Office and regulatory reporting:
  1. Monthly and quarterly financial and regulatory reporting, for the Group and to Head Office;
  2. Interim and annual financial statements.
  • Liaise with external auditors on audit matters, co-ordinate audit process as well as prepare reporting packs to Audit Committees and Board;
  • Undertake pro-active research on Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) (SFRS(I)) and regulations (Insurance Act or Banking Act) and assess the impact on the Group Financial Statements (FS) and Head Office reporting. Assist in the implementation of SFRS(I) changes that impact the accounting system and Group FS disclosures.  Develop and implement Group Accounting Policies, Procedures & Guidelines;
  • Provide oversight over subsidiaries’ financial matters. To establish and implement financial policies and controls to ensure compliance and standardisation of accounting policies and procedures;
  • Oversee finance-related changes to various systems (e.g. TM1, Oracle Financials, investment database management system), including reports development and maintenance, participate in user acceptance testing for system upgrades, etc; and
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as and when required to ensure continuous improvements to work processes and to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the reporting function.

 

 

Job Requirements

Our Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent;
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience of which at least 2-3 years are in Big 4 audit firms;
  • Candidates with knowledge of consolidation and insurance accounting experience have an added advantage;
  • Positive attitude, ability to work independently and work well under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines;
  • Committed, self-motivated and possess initiative and drive;
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous and able to handle detail work;
  • Strong team player with good communication skills; and
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (formula) and MS Office.
