Job Purpose

You are responsible for driving the organization’s test automation strategy and defining the framework in response to the changing business requirements. You will be working closely with the test lead and DevOps lead to plan and implement automated testing in DevOps practice to help us improve agilility to capture new business opportunities and deliver software faster and better.

The Job

• Act as test automation lead and testing subject matter expert during project establishment.
• Work with project team test lead through successful project implementation or take on the role of a test manger in projects where required.
• Responsible for development of test management plan with project teams.
• Develop automated testing strategy, framework and best practice to improve reusability, ease of maintenance and test coverage for different technologies and platforms.
• Define and implement testing metrics and measure improvements of testing progress, quality and health through data and make that available to all teams and team members.
• Build up and lead the automated testing team to the success of project.
• Work with other teams to understand their integration requirements and collaborate to build solutions for automation and regression packs for various repeatable tests.
• Ensure overall quality of the deliverables and test sign off will be the key responsibility.
• Hand-on automation with UFT, Selenium, mobile and web service testing.
• Work closely with various Dev team members to understand testing objectives and ensure that problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
• Continue exploring and be part of an ongoing effort to bring new testing knowledge and tools into the team.

 

Job Requirements

 

Our Requirements

• Strong technical and business acumen with the ability to lead a small test automation team.
• Over 10 years of experience in software testing and 5 years in test automation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in agile projects with knowledge of using Applciation Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool.
• Experience as a test manager in a IT projects for large distributed systems is mandatory.
• Experience working or leading a centralised testing competency center is desired.
• Experience in test environment management , test data management, service virtualization is required.
• Familiar with the use of basic project management tools for planning and tracking.
• Familiar with both waterfall and agile SDLC and methodology.
• Experience performing functional testing and non-functional testing (e.g. performance test, load test).
• Experience working in a secured multi-tier heterogeneous environment is mandatory.
• In depth knowledge of automation tools (e.g. UFT, Selenium, SOAPUI, Bamboo, Jenkins, Ansible, Marvin, Github, Bitbucket, SV, QC, Jira, mobile test tools etc.).
• Able to provide a practical approach to complex software product testing, specifically in the areas of the automation of test cases for the purposes of regression testing.
• Creative and proactive thinker and able to make use of current technologies to provide extensible automation infrastructures.
• Worked in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment with strong appreciation of change/version control process and methodologies.
• Working experience in a financial services industry and/or operating under strict regulatory constraints is an advantage.
• Problem solver with ability to see things in multiple angles, constantly challenge the norm and constantly looking for better solutions to problems.
• Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral/written communication, influencing and creative problem solviong skills.
• Strong presenter being able to articulate differentiated value to a wide range of audiences.
