Job Purpose


You will be working with the product teams of Great Eastern Group’s business units as the product management business partner to assist the Head of Group Product Management (GPM) in performing product management oversight; and reviewing, formulating and driving product strategy initiatives across Great Eastern entities.


The Job


  • Provide Group Product Management oversight and support to the product departments of local GE entities to review their product initiatives; discuss and seek concurrence from Group Actuarial and Group Risk Management; and recommend these initiatives for GPMAC’s approval;
  • Discharge GPMAC Secretariat duties within the department and coordinate with the Local Product departments for follow-ups to action, report and manage;
  • Assist the HoD in coordinating and reviewing the group-wide Annual Product Review, and formulating product strategies;
  • Provide customer and competition insights across the region through monitoring product, customer segment, distribution and regulatory developments and trends;
  • Drive new proposition (including services bundled within products) development and prototyping to augment the product development efforts across all business lines within Great Eastern and recommend call to action;
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including Strategy & Transformation, Operations, Actuarial, Investment, Risk Management, local Product departments and reinsurers to formulate product ideas and coordinate efforts in building ecosystems required for product innovation; and
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards relating to product development and company-wide policies.



Job Requirements

Our Requirements


  • Strong domain knowledge in either or all of life, health and/or non-life (personal lines) insurance products and business;
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, ideally in product development, pricing or marketing;
  • Strong first degree, preferably in insurance or finance-related disciplines;
  • Business acumen and curious mind, complemented by strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Self-starter with the ability to make sound judgements and work under pressure or tight time lin`es; and
  • Strong inter-personal, articulation, communication and presentation skills.
